Subscription tailormade for RIDER
We have developed Scanning Hours packages to provide Dronetag RIDER users with greater flexibility, enhance efficiency, and ensure a stable LTE connection for the built-in SIM card. These packages support seamless data transfer while also ensuring visibility and security for Dronetag users' detection data.
Scanning Hours packages are available for purchase through the Dronetag app or our online store.
It is important to understand that Scanning Hours packages for RIDER basically means purchasing Data Bundles with limited validity. These Data Bundles are roughly counted to data consumed in one hour of constant detection of DJI drone.
Each RIDER purchase includes 40 free Scanning Hours, valid for two months! This allows you to detect drones using the Dronetag cloud. Once the 40 hours or two months have expired, you can choose to purchase an additional package completely commitment-free.
Scanning Hours packages
If you want to continue using RIDER in Online Mode after the two-month free trial or once the 40 Scanning Hours have been used, you can purchase a Data bundle, available in the form of tailor-made Scanning Hours packages for RIDER:
Scanning Hours | Validity | Price |
---|---|---|
60 Scanning Hours | 3 months | €75 / $75 |
240 Scanning Hours | 12 months | €240 / $240 |
For more advanced or long-term use, we also offer:
- Long-term contracts (e.g., $720 for 3 years) that include:
- Scanning Hours (240/year)
- Software access
- Third-party integrations like Aloft
- Agency Unlimited Plan – $500/year with unrestricted Scanning Hours limit
For inquiries about our enterprise Scanning Hours packages, please contact us at sales@dronetag.com.
You have 12 months from the date of purchase to activate your Scanning Hours package. We will notify you before this period expires.
Additionally, you can use your Scanning Hours package with any other RIDER of your choice - it does not need to be activated from the account used for the purchase. However, once the code is activated, it must be used on a single device, and you will have 3 or 12 months (depending on the selected package) to consume the Scanning Hours.
If you choose not to purchase a new Scanning Hours package, RIDER cannot be used in Online Mode. Instead, you can operate RIDER via Bluetooth using the Drone Scanner app, but without cloud-based features such as detection history and other advanced functionalities.
Definition of one Scanning Hour
One Scanning Hour is calculated based on the data consumed when continuously detecting a single DJI drone for one hour – specifically, it equals receiving 100% of that drone’s Remote ID messages over that period. Note that RIDER can scan continuously, but access to cloud-based features depends on available Scanning Hours.
Scanning Hours can also be viewed in terms of message volume. For example:
- 1 Scanning Hour = approx. 18,000 Remote ID messages
- 240 Scanning Hours = 4,320,000 Remote ID messages
Under normal conditions, exceeding the message capacity is unlikely unless operating in environments with exceptionally high drone density, such as airshows or experimental setups.
When RIDER is scanning but no drones are detected, only minimal data is used. In other words, scanning without detections consumes almost no Scanning Hours. All usage is calculated per device.
If three drones are detected simultaneously and the detection lasts 30 minutes, this will consume 1.5 Scanning Hours from your package.
