What is in the Box

Scout Base line​

After the standard configuration of Scout is delivered to you, the following package contents should be present:

  • 1x Dronetag Scout
  • 1x 2.4 GHz Omnidirectional Antenna (N-type, male)
  • 1x Dual Band 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz Omnidirectional Antenna (N-type, male)
  • 1x PoE injector
  • 1x Power cord (EU standard)
  • 1x Mounting kit (mounting material included, holde compatible with 70 mm - 100 mm poles)
  • 1x PVC insulating tape
  • 1x Waterproof tape
  • 1x Grounding Cable

The box with the Scout has following dimensions: 45 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm

Scout with Directional Antennas​

After the Scout configured with Directional Antennas is delivered to you, the following package contents should be present:

  • 1x Dronetag Scout
  • 0x - 1x 2.4 GHz Omnidirectional Antenna (N-type, male; number of antennas is depending on your specific configuration)
  • 0x - 1x Dual Band 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz Omnidirectional Antenna (N-type, male)
  • 1x - 4x 2.4 GHz Sector Antenna (N-type, male; number of antennas is depending on your specific configuration)
  • 1x N-cable for Sector Antenna
  • 1x - 4x Sector Antenna Mounting Kit for 19 mm - 45 mm pole (number of antennas is depending on your specific configuration)
  • 1x PoE injector
  • 1x Power cord (EU standard)
  • 1x Mounting kit (mounting material included, holde compatible with 70 mm - 100 mm poles)
  • 1x PVC insulating tape
  • 1x Waterproof tape
  • 1x Grounding Cable

Scout can be configured with different number of Directional antennas. If there are four (4) Directional antennas, then no 2.4 GHz Omnidirectional antenna is delivered.

LTE version of Scout​

LTE version of Dronetag Scout, with ordered connectivity, includes micro-SIM card, which is already plugged in the device.

When there is no connectivity ordered, Scout comes with no micro-SIM card plugged in the device and user needs to plug his own micro-SIM card in. Here is a Step-by-Step Guide how to do it.

PoE injector​

The PoE injector is a device that allows you to combine power and network connectivity to your PoE enabled devices using the same Cat5/5e or Cat6 twisted pair cable.

In the case you want to use your own PoE switch, it must have appropriate standard.

We supply the PoE injector with EU standart socket only now. From Q3/2025 you can choose from EU or US standard socket.

It is ideal to place the PoE injector indoor. It has to be placed in dry place with constant temperature. PoE injector is not waterproof.

What is required to operate the Scout?​

  • Power source
  • Ethernet cable dedicated for outdoor use (cat. 5 and higher)
